Georgia Kalantzi
OCEANOGRAPHER
Georgia Kalantzi is a graduate of the Department of Oceanography and Marine Bio-sciences of University of the Aegean. She holds a Master's degree in Marine and Naval Technology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and received a PhD in Ocean Wave Modelling and Forecasting from the University of Southampton in UK.
She has more than 15 years of research and professional experience in specialized environmental and marine applications. Since 2011 she also has gained extensive professional experience in grant proposal writing, funding tools, innovation and project management. Her skillset combines deep scientific knowledge in the fields of the environment, new technologies and innovation; an expert in management, coordination and communication. She has participated in publications of more than 16 scientific papers in journals and conference proceedings and has participated numerous conferences, workshops and seminars with presentations on various environmental topics.
